Roger Zahab’s web site provides information about his various musical activities as a composer, violinist and conductor. The site features a searchable database of more than 200 compositions, includng PDF score and mp3 excerpts. An HTML 5 audio preview system enables users to experience music playback from within the web site without launching an external player such as Windows Media or Quicktime that takes users away from the web browsing experience. Mr. Zahab maintains the web site using a custom CMS that handles mp3 and pdf file uploads and content updates.
Embedded HTML 5 Sound
Users can listen to mp3 excerpts from an embedded HTML 5 /Javascript based user interface. This is a more seamless experience for listening to music compared to the typical mp3 preview system wich launches a 3rd party player such as Windows Media or Quicktime and takes the user away from the web site browsing experience.
